Red Faction is probably the only game you're going to play that will let you blow up entire buildings. Not just buildings planned in missions, etc. Every building in the the game! From the little houses to giant towers you can make them all come crushing down!

Step 1: Set explosives and blow up



Step 2: Watch tower fall, cause more destruction, mayhem, and death.



Step 3: Repeat until satisfied with the destruction you have caused

While that part of the game is really fun, it's not lacking in other parts of the game either (minus the windows 7 audio problem). Probably the most important thing in the game is the salvage! salvage is what you get when you break shit apart and it's used for upgrades and for buying new weapons!

The missions are pretty cool too. They usually consist of: Blowing something up, killing people, fighting off a horde of EDF (the bad guys), stealing something, etc. Think of this game as GTA but, you get to break buildings .

Most of the upgrades in the game are unlocked by doing gorilla actions, which are side missions. Some of the unlocks are: a better sledgehammer, rocket launcher, and a grinder. Cheats, on the other hand, are unlocked by doing random shit: killing 100 people with the hammer, and blowing up 100 hydrogen containers are just some of the ways.

I'm amazed that everything is actually destroyable. I'm having a lot of fun playing, load times really blow though, which is probably due to my system being so old.

Yeah i dunno why you would. How much ram do you have, what speed is it? and what processor/speed is it?

I'v got 3GB ddr800 and an AMD Athlon X2 4200+ i think its 2.4ghz might be 2.2 i can't remember off the top of my head.
