This is obviously a VERY broad topic so mostly I'll be covering the games you would probably receive from us. The top is just a short version. The rest is an in depth version for someone who may have never done it before! If you haven't done this before PLEASE READ THE WHOLE THING before trying or asking questions.
Step 1: Extract the GZ or the Tar, this should produce a folder.
Step 2: Inside the folder there may be many .rar files, extract them to produce the .iso or installer
Step 3: mount the .iso or use the installer and install the game
Step 4: Crack the game by overwriting the content in the game directory(c:\program files\what\ever) with the crack directory.
Step 5: Play the game
In most cases if you got the download link from us it will be gunzipped, and have the extension .tar.gz, or if it isn't gunzipped it will be a .tar. In both cases you will need an extracting program (
7zip,
universal extract, and
winrar are the ones I would suggest).
Extract the tar.gz or the .tar and it should produce a folder. If it doesn't and it makes a shit ton of files where ever you extracted it, it means that WE did something wrong when compressing or tarring the folder/files, not you. A simple fix is to just put all the stuff that extracted into a folder.
Inside the folder (assuming we did it correctly or you moved the files) there should be a lot of .rar files and probably a .nfo and a .svf. I'll start with the .rar files.
The .rar files can be done 1 of 2 ways. Hopefully and usually the first. Way 1: You right click the first .rar and click extract here, and it produces a nice little .iso or installer (I'll get to that later). Way 2: You extract the first .rar and it makes another .rar (rage time) now you have to extract every single .rar,in the FIRST set, there to make the OTHER set .rar. Then the OTHER set of .rar's will produce your nice little .iso.
The .nfo file is usually a file with information about how to install, what cd-key to use, and maybe some additional info. The .svf is something you will only use if the extraction of the .rar's fails; its an error checker.
if you got an .iso (or .cue & .bin, I'll call it a .iso) you mount it with
daemon tools (think of it as a cd and you need to put it in the tray). With daemon-tools click on the try icon, click on the virtual cd, and click mount. Then select the .iso, and install.
If you got an installer just use that to install the game.
After you install you will probably need to crack the game. Cracking makes it so A. you don't need the CD and B. usually bi-passes any other restrictions for the game. The crack is usually found on the .iso you mounted with daemon tools or in the directory with the actual .iso. The crack file can be named anything from CRACK to RELOADED, its usually obvious. To crack the game copy the contents of the crack to the game directory (c:\Program Files\etc\) and replace the files there, so basically you are looking for a file with the same name to replace. There are many different kinds of cracks, this is just the most simple one.
And then play the game
tar store will work fine.
just make sure when you do it to tar the folder
